Apr 25 Austin Artists Paint Boarded Up Windows in Downtown Austin

Hey everyone,

Normally, I photograph weddings. COVID-19 was like, “Nope. Not anymore!” Since I have free time on the weekends now, I decided to drive around downtown Austin to photograph all of the murals that have been popping up on a lot of the boarded up bars and restaurants. From what I’ve learned, a lot of them are part of #HopeForHealth put on by the Hope Outdoor Gallery. It also felt great to pick up my camera for the first time since February, and it also felt great to see local artists making something beautiful out of something that’s really sad for a lot of small businesses not only in Austin, but all around the country. This is a growing list of murals, so if you know of one in Austin I should be photographing, email me! I’m also working on getting all of the proper credits posted for each artist, so if I’m missing one or get one wrong, email me.
