Sarah and Kerry got married at the gorgeous Rancho Mirando in Fischer, Texas. I actually got to photograph at this venue twice in May, and each time did not disappoint! The day was very relaxed, and it was still cool enough outside to leave all of the doors and windows open in the reception hall. The ceremony was in a gorgeous field overlooking the hill country, and when we brought the couple back out during sunset for more pictures, the sun hit everything perfectly. They also got married on May 5, so they had Cinco de Mayo themed elements throughout their wedding!

I first met Chloe at a coffeeshop called Flightpath in Austin, when she was looking for a wedding photographer. We hit it off immediately, and I absolutely loved getting to photograph her bridals too! This was my first time photographing at The Lookout, and it was such a gorgeous spot! Every detail that went into planning this wedding was perfect. They had the cutest details and decorations all throughout the venue, and the venue itself had a diverse range of spots to photograph Chloe & Garrett. Also, they had P. TERRY'S AND EAST SIDE KING CATER. Are you kidding?! Those are in my top 5 favorite restaurants in Austin! But I typically get very excited about food generally, lol!

ChaLyce & Gibson's wedding was absolutely elegant. Their wedding was a black tie affair, beginning at the Central Christian Church in Austin, and ending with the reception at the Austin Club downtown. Gibson is Samoan, so there were various events and decorations intertwined from the Samoan culture throughout the wedding and the reception. Gibson is also heavily decorated, and a lot of his groomsmen were from the military as well. (Thank you all for your service!)

Ann & Chris got married at Villa Antonia on a gorgeous day in April. It was my first time photographing this venue and it's easily one of my favorites! The architecture embodies a villa perfectly and there are so many amazing spots for photo opportunities! Chris & Ann were so sweet and even choreographed a dance together at the reception. I can't wait to photograph here again! (Thanks to Megan the Photographer for having me!)

Okay y'all, you caught me. I was so ecstatic that my client from this weekend and I stumbled upon bluebonnets at Walnut Creek. Ashley & Ryan's engagement session was the day after, so I had to bring them back! They live in Washington D.C., so coming back home to Texas in order to see bluebonnets was a must for them. The weather this weekend was completely perfect too! Since they were from out of town, I photographed their engagement session exactly 6 days before their wedding in Driftwood. This was also our first time meeting in person, so it was a fun filled week for the both of us! I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with this couple, check out their wedding post here!

I've known Trent & Mel since Mel and I were in undergrad together a few years ago. They recently made the big move to San Francisco but were in town for Christmas, so we got together to take some engagement pictures. They're having an intimate wedding with their family members this summer, and will be visiting Texas again to celebrate with their friends. I'm so excited to see what the future has in store for these two!

Jose & Jamie live in Chile, but got married at Pecan Grove, conveniently located right next to the legendary Salt Lick BBQ, so all of their friends and family could join them in celebrating their big day. It was a little cloudy, but that is honestly my favorite type of weather. After the ceremony, the sun decided to pop out for a perfect portrait session of the newlyweds. (And a shoutout to Megan the Photographer for asking me to be her second shooter for this wedding!)

Brandon and Rachel live in my hometown of Houston, Texas. They first contacted me when they saw The Inn at Wild Rose Hall's Facebook post about one of my previous weddings I photographed at their venue. I was thrilled to be able to photograph their wedding because I hadn't been to Wild Rose Hall in so long! It was an absolutely gorgeous wedding with even more perfect weather. It was also the day before my birthday, so it was a great way to start off my birthday weekend!
I loved Brandon and Rachel's florals, colors, and classic fairytale themed centerpieces. We also got the chance to feed some horses on the property, and I captured a pretty perfect moment of the whole ordeal! Guests danced the night away and made a giant line (probably the biggest I've ever photographed) of sparklers for their special exit. Pretty cool!
Check out Joyful Details' amazing blog post about their day!
Cheyenne & Brian are an incredibly sweet couple living in Eugene, Oregon (and I am so jealous!) We actually didn't meet until the day of the wedding when I arrived at Living Waters on Lake Travis, an adorable venue with lake access in Austin. The venue featured a couple of small modern cottages, along with a house that Cheyenne was getting married in. This venue truly isn't like any other: the entire wedding party walked down gorgeous stone steps surrounded by trees to get to the ceremony spot. It was amazing to photograph!
Their first look was in a small room at the top of a spiral staircase, so they could have a moment to themselves and read letters to each other. The ceremony was short and sweet, and these two were so excited to finally be married. I didn't stay too far into the reception but from what I did capture, you could really tell that this bunch loved to dance! It was nonstop partying, along with delicious desserts and drinks to keep everyone fueled for the rest of the night.

Christine and Jonathan are dear friends of mine. I lived with Christine in college and Jonathan visited a lot, so I got to know these two love birds very quickly. They were always acting so goofy and going on adventures together. When they decided to get married at Eberly Ranch, I knew it was a place that would fit them perfectly. Eberly Ranch has tons of animals, including zebras, horses, and donkeys. After the wedding we all just drove around *trying* to pet the animals that would get near us. It was amazing! I feel like I also have to mention that this was the coolest day in September (usually it's still pretty hot in Texas), and it felt absolutely perfect outside!

Amber and Anthony are some serious travel bugs! We first met via Facetime while they were living in Colorado. They met at Texas A&M (gig 'em!) and were together for six wonderful years before deciding to tie the knot. They now live in California (I told you they were travel bugs!) and are loving it. To make it easy on their families, they decided to get married in a cute little town right outside of Austin called Buda. Kali-Kate was a venue I had heard of a few times, but hadn't had the joy of photographing there yet!
While it was a pretty hot day for mid-September (thanks Texas), everyone's spirits were high and the decorations were absolutely gorgeous. I also had some wonderful help from my good friend Marisa Vasquez , who was my second shooter for the day. There was plenty of lush greenery around the property to photograph in, delicious food, and amazing dancing skills at the reception!

Wow guys. Amanda and Doug are absolute sweethearts. I was lucky to be able to shoot their engagement session earlier this year, and we immediately clicked. They are incredibly kind people, always making sure I was accommodated both at our engagement session and at their wedding. It was absolutely GORGEOUS, by the way. Kudos to the Union on 8th on Georgetown, because they really knew what they were doing. Everything went so smoothly and I had so much fun! (As always.) These two even bought matching cards for each other for their first look..without knowing it. Can you imagine the looks on their faces? If you can't, they're included in the gallery below. ;) Enjoy!

Brittany & Mayowa had a beautiful Nigerian wedding at their church, Faith 4 Life, in Round Rock, Texas. After their extravagant ceremony, the couple and their guests reconvened at the Renaissance Hotel in north Austin. This was the first Nigerian wedding I had the pleasure of photographing, and I absolutely loved it. I love being able to photograph weddings where I get to learn so much about the couple and their lives as the day passes. It's beautiful.
DJ/Catering/Floral: Renaissance Hotel
Wedding Dress: Lulu's Bridal
I started the day by meeting the boys in their hotel room at Renaissance Austin. If you ever get the chance to book one of their suites, DO IT. All of the upholstery and decor were so fancy! Their room made a perfect backdrop for grabbing some detail shots while Mayowa got ready.
When Mayowa was ready, we all made our way to their church, Faith 4 Lyfe. I met with my other photographer and got to capture Brittany getting ready and putting her dress on with her mother. Their ceremony started soon after and it was absolutely gorgeous inside. There was a purple & gold theme throughout the wedding and they tied it in perfectly; many guests wore purple & gold too! I loved how much energy the wedding party had as they danced down the aisle together.
After the ceremony, I got a chance to see and photograph the reception before any guests arrived. Renaissance did a fantastic job setting everything up and sticking to the couple's theme. It was absolutely gorgeous! It even featured a candy bar, which everyone knows is my FAVORITE. When the couple made their grand entrance, their guests gathered around them and began to dance and "sprayed" dollar bills in celebration. That's a pretty cool wedding gift if you ask me! I had the absolute best time capturing all of the fun and happiness during their day.
I met Lo when she was a makeup artist at my friend's wedding. We immediately hit it off and exchanged information in hopes to work together again. A couple of months ago, I had my makeup done for a night out, and a couple of weeks ago she hired me to photograph her beautiful family in an in-home session. We started out in her gorgeous backyard, and then moved inside to interact with the kiddos a little more. I told Lo that an in home session would be perfect for the age of her kiddos, and we were both so excited to do it! This was my first in-home session and I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to do more!
I know Kirsten as a fellow photographer, so I was so thrilled to shoot her engagement session with my pal Jeremy Salapek! We bounced ideas off each other for the whole session and got to explore a new park we had never been to. It's pretty far north in Austin but there are so many unique spots to hike around! Their tattoos represent the areas of the country that they're from, so they sort of match but are still unique to their individual stories.
Adriana and Elliot are a match made in heaven. I met them a couple of months before their wedding at a Starbucks in downtown Austin to discuss the details of their big day. They were incredibly laid back and we got along so well right off the bat! Their wedding day had the same laid back vibe, and the weather was absolutely perfect. This was my first time photographing at Hummingbird House, and I couldn't have asked for a better couple to help me break in my first time working this venue. A special thank you to a wonderful friend of mine, Reba Jenson, for second shooting with me. She did an AMAZING job! Oh, and their hashtag? #AllThatGlittersIsGoldrick. How stinkin' clever!

Grace & Quinn celebrated their marriage (and New Year's Eve!) at Antebellum Oaks. I've never shot at this venue until now, and I absolutely loved it. The venue was lavishly decorated with New Year's Eve decorations, including some pretty awesome party hats! There were so many awesome locations around this venue for portraits and the weather was absolutely perfect. It was an awesome way to ring in the new year!
Quinn & Grace got married at Emmaus Parish, a catholic church about 5 minutes from the venue. Luckily they still had their Christmas decorations up, and the poinsettias really added to the beauty of the church.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered at Antebellum Oaks to celebrate and eat some AMAZING food. They had so many options, so naturally I had to try one of everything. ;)
If you guys only knew how freaking long it took to get these balloons to stay straight! I was so determined to get this picture, and after maybe 30 tries and a little extra help, I finally got it! Isn't this setup amazing?! Props to the couple for thinking of this awesome idea.
Quinn and Grace had an amazing first dance together. They were expert dancers! Then, out of nowhere, a recording of Quinn singing their first dance song to Grace came on over the speakers and Grace couldn't handle the cuteness! She was so surprised, and between all the laughter and hugs, they still managed to finish their first dance together. I've never had a groom record himself singing, so kudos to Quinn for doing that!
I met Christine when I moved to San Marcos in the bedroom across from hers in the 4 bedroom townhome we were renting with our mutual friends. We all attended Texas State and became great friends during that time. When I met Jonathan, I could immediately tell they were perfect for each other. They both are easy going, they love nature, and they love their dog Owen!
Christine and Jonathan actually got engaged in Dallas, and me and all of their friends made a road trip to celebrate with them. They hadn't taken engagement photos yet, besides the ones I captured of their surprise engagement, so they visited me in Austin to have some taken at St. Edward's Park. I'm also shooting their wedding in September and I cannot wait! <3
I absolutely love how goofy they are together. This was right before she realized he was licking her face!
