Hannah and Drew are absolutely adorable together. Hannah and I have been seeing each other around the Houston ~ music scene ~ for a while now, so when she asked me to photograph her wedding (posted here) I was super excited. I had also never had the opportunity to shoot at Sekrit Theater, so when they were looking for a unique place in Austin for their engagement session, we chose them! Since the only time slot was 6am, we continued our session downtown to get a glimpse of the sunrise.

Jess and Rorie were SO much fun to photograph. They recently moved to Austin after traveling the world for a year (I don’t know about y’all, but that’s a dream for me!) and also got married in the area. (That blog post can be found here.) They live off of East 6th Street, so we decided to explore that area first. There are a ton of super cool spots in the area, and we had a lot of fun finding new places by complete accident! The mural above is outside of Ramen Tatsuya. Check out more spots we found on the east side below!

Amy and Kevin are such a cool couple. They met on Bumble, and when we first met they showed me their awesome first conversation that eventually led to their first date. We decided to roam around downtown Austin for their engagement session and had so much fun! We started at the Austin Central Public Library downtown, and also walked around the Seaholm Power Plant area. We had so much fun! Check out their wedding here.

Nathan & Chelsea were SO much fun to photograph. We all got up bright and early on a Sunday morning to do a sunrise engagement session, and we all made it out alive! No one was around on this usually very busy pedestrian area, so it felt like we had the whole city to ourselves. It also happened to be the same morning of a marathon, so Cesar Chavez (a main road running parallel with downtown Austin) was blocked off, so we could cross the road freely! (See crosswalk picture below). Normally, I end up in lush forests and beautiful fields for engagement shoots, but I absolutely loved the mix of city and nature that we got near the Lamar pedestrian bridge downtown. I can't wait to shoot in this area again, and I can't wait to photograph Nathan & Chelsea's wedding next March! (Their wedding can now be viewed here.)

Okay y'all, you caught me. I was so ecstatic that my client from this weekend and I stumbled upon bluebonnets at Walnut Creek. Ashley & Ryan's engagement session was the day after, so I had to bring them back! They live in Washington D.C., so coming back home to Texas in order to see bluebonnets was a must for them. The weather this weekend was completely perfect too! Since they were from out of town, I photographed their engagement session exactly 6 days before their wedding in Driftwood. This was also our first time meeting in person, so it was a fun filled week for the both of us! I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with this couple, check out their wedding post here!

I've known Trent & Mel since Mel and I were in undergrad together a few years ago. They recently made the big move to San Francisco but were in town for Christmas, so we got together to take some engagement pictures. They're having an intimate wedding with their family members this summer, and will be visiting Texas again to celebrate with their friends. I'm so excited to see what the future has in store for these two!
I know Kirsten as a fellow photographer, so I was so thrilled to shoot her engagement session with my pal Jeremy Salapek! We bounced ideas off each other for the whole session and got to explore a new park we had never been to. It's pretty far north in Austin but there are so many unique spots to hike around! Their tattoos represent the areas of the country that they're from, so they sort of match but are still unique to their individual stories.
I originally met Amanda at Summer Moon (my favorite coffee shop in Austin) to discuss booking a wedding package with me a few months ago. I hadn't met Doug but was so excited to hear their story. Amanda and Doug seriously have such a natural chemistry together, and that made it so easy to capture them in their natural state. As of right now Doug lives in Oregon while Amanda lives in Austin as a lawyer, so we hadn't originally planned an engagement session when we were planning their wedding. But a few weeks ago, Amanda contacted me and said Doug would be in town for the weekend, so we got to do this session together! I am beyond excited to shoot their wedding in Georgetown in September. They're such wonderful people and I couldn't be happier for them!
I met Christine when I moved to San Marcos in the bedroom across from hers in the 4 bedroom townhome we were renting with our mutual friends. We all attended Texas State and became great friends during that time. When I met Jonathan, I could immediately tell they were perfect for each other. They both are easy going, they love nature, and they love their dog Owen!
Christine and Jonathan actually got engaged in Dallas, and me and all of their friends made a road trip to celebrate with them. They hadn't taken engagement photos yet, besides the ones I captured of their surprise engagement, so they visited me in Austin to have some taken at St. Edward's Park. I'm also shooting their wedding in September and I cannot wait! <3
I absolutely love how goofy they are together. This was right before she realized he was licking her face!
