Story time! My very first best friend in middle school introduced me to this band called Circa Survive when I was the young age of 12. I was a dinky 6th grader and had a terrible taste in music. The first song I ever heard by them, Act Appalled, was off their first full length album, Juturna. Since then, I was hooked. That was 12 long years ago! I got their symbol (safe camp) tattooed on me when I turned 18, so this band means a lot to me. (Clearly!) They had their ten year anniversary tour for Juturna in November of 2015, and this time around it was a ten year anniversary tour for their second full length, On Letting Go. Each of their albums hit me hard in the feels so I definitely never miss a tour! Their supporting acts were Turnover and mewithoutYou, both of which I'm fans of as well.
The opener was Turnover. They have a super chill vibe to them and sound really great live. The first time I saw them I had never heard of them but was immediately hooked. I'm so glad I actually knew all the songs this time around!
Next up was mewithoutYou. I was really into them around 2008-2010, but my interests have vastly changed over the years. I've seen them many times but I think I've only photographed them maybe once. They're super awesome as well! They've always been amazing live performers.
Finally, Circa Survive! Their set emulated their album artwork for On Letting Go. The original artist (whom they work with a lot) is Esao Andrews. He's amazingly talented.
Here's Anthony Green, acting like a true Texan.
